The cinnamon roll recipe as requested

Well...Here it is lovely people! I cannot believe we nearly shut Twitter down with the amount of people asking for this recipe!! BUT...The lovely Wendy Treat from CFC, Seattle has been kind enough to allow me to pass this on. it is easy, and supa yummy...and my kids (and hubby) LOVED them!! (not to mention friends who are trying to lose weight who could not resist!!)
Have the best day... DZ

Wendy Treat's Cinnamon Rolls...

 1 x Pkt Yeast
¼ cup warm water
¾ cup warm milk
¼ cup sugar
1 teasp salt
1 egg
¼ cup butter ( soft)
3 ½ cups plain flour

Maybe TRIPLE the recipe! (I did... it just meant three extra trips to the gym!)

- Mix yeast and sugar
- Add warm water
- Wait...let yeast work...make sure it sits for 5 minutes
- Add half the flour
- Add salt
- MIX....
- Add butter, eggs, milk, and the rest of the flour

Knead for at least ten minutes.  DO it by hand if you can...good for the soul! Make sure it's not too wet, not too dry...

Put this in a bowl that allows for the dough to rise DOUBLE. Pre heat your oven to 200 - 250 degrees celcius, then turn off. Place a wet towel over the dough and let it rise for 45 - 60 mins.

NOW FOR THE FUN PART!!

Roll out your dough to about 2 cm thick at the most.

Brush the whole thing with melted butter...

Sprinkle cinnamon over the whole dough...and lots of it!

And SMOTHER IT ALL IN LOADS OF BROWN SUGAR...don't leave any gaps...and don't be frugal...

So...FUN FUN FUN...

Roll up the dough, then cut into 4 -5cm  pieces...

Place them into pan (facing with scroll upwards), just touching each other, not super tight..

Let them rise again ( 45 - 50 mns)

BAKE...At 350 degrees fareinheit ( 13 - 15 mins)... In my Aussie oven, I baked it at 220 degrees celcius for 15 mins...

Wow! The house should smell amazing!!

FROSTING...

Powdered sugar ( Icing sugar)
Dash of salt
tablespoon Vanilla
tablespoon Butter
Milk...

I started with 3 cups of icing sugar, and went from there... made a little more to make them a bit more yummy!

ENJOY!! And thanks to Wendy for sharing the family secret!! Xxxx Love ya's....
